Abstract
We have performed the structural analysis of chemically prepared nanocrystalline Mn-doped ZnO using a modified Reitveld model. The results reveals that alongwith the nanocrystalline Mn-doped ZnO, a secondary phase namely, ZnMn2O4 precipitate in the system which is also a magnetic phase. It was observed from the variation of lattice parameter that the solubility of Mn is poor in ZnO structure and does not increase with the increase of Mn concentration. TEM study also confirms the precipitation of nanocrystalline Mn-doped ZnO. Magnetization increases initially and then saturates with the increase of Mn concentration.
